My Lover's Eyes
(Go To list)

"My Lover's Eyes" is just an example. MY example - of finding the right woman, and paying tribute to her and the values that she supports. Seeing things through My Lover's Eyes shows that she has an amazing way of looking at things. Many women simplify, order, and define their environments with an incredible amount of common sense, practicality, and love. That is why I try my best to see things as these kind of women do, and relate to them with a similar awareness. Without necessarily replacing my own view, this enhances my own with a new perspective, and because of the effectiveness, I find myself doing it more and more. The lesson here is to keep an open mind, and try to see things from the other person's point of view... especially if you love her! (...or him!) It most certainly will pay off, even if it only serves to prove that the other person's view is of value to you, and that you regard it as worthy of consideration.

One more thing - My Love is all the reason I need to diligently try and be "the right man." How can one expect to find the right partner, a soul mate, if he or she is not willing to be the effective other half of that partnership? So if one is looking for the perfect partner, one must "be" the perfect partner in return, or as close to that as is possible. Take a look at life and the world through your lover's eyes!

"Through Her Eyes"
by RST/Cyrano

Climb the mountain, swim the sea,
No distance is too far for me,
To see My Love and have her near,
Then take her with me everywhere!

The world, as seen through her eyes,
A phantom, but with no disguise,
Elusive to all those who see
The wonders that could never be.

Yet there they are within our grasp,
Our hands reaching out to clasp
A world amazing to our eyes,
And ours alone to realize.

What makes this world so tantalizing
Is how real, not fantasizing,
Real, as the skies above;
So wonderful to be in love!

I long to see the world again
Through My Lover's eyes, and then
To live within the wonders, and
Be with her in her wonderland!

In this poem, reality is captured. However, with love, reality is often too incredible to be expressed in normal terms. Also, I truly do not expect anyone who has not experienced anything such as what we have to understand how elusive a concept "wonderland" is. So for some this is just a poem, with little meaning and amusing words. To others who know, the words will bring a warm sensation and fond memories. I can only hope that some will listen to my testimony and pursue the possibilities of their own land of wonder. On the way, perhaps they too will send a message of love, thus guiding themselves and another to a common destination, mutually exploring the world of love. For more poems, go to: "Poems".
