Love Notes
(Go To list)

Over the months and years, I wrote over 2,000 emails to female friends. Yes, that's two-thousand. Not all of them were love messages, but many were, or at least had a line or two that were heartfelt, endearing, cute, loving, humorous, or something other than bland, dry, ordinary, dull, or otherwise worthless. Of course, although the recipients almost always thought even the simplest of communique's were precious, I often felt the need to convey the message of love, perhaps in some way that I had not already expressed it. This turned out to be quite easy, since there were so many things to say that were hearfelt, endearing, cute, loving, humorous, and otherwise precious!

Simple fantasies that are not necessarily passion-based can often lend good scenarios for letters. One must be creative and clever, and things that are silly, or otherwise impractical, can sometimes become irresistable plots.

(Excerpt from a short note...)

Here I go throughout my day, meeting with people to talk about their events, and in between, before, after and during, I am thinking of this wonderful Diva of a woman who I want to be with so terribly that I would settle for being her gardener, even though I have no green thumb, and can barely keep my pothos alive!!!! Can you imagine me braving your scrutiny for killing your plants and maiming your flowers, ignoring your overgrown grass and untrimmed trees, over-watering your bamboo while starving your tomatoes! You surely would want to fire me in a day! However, I would learn to save your garden if it meant I could stay!

The interesting thing about this note is that upon considering the scenario of being not just any gardener, but My Lover's, the occupation took on a whole new essence. I would be her slave, her masseur, her cook, her housekeeper, and now her gardner. The funny thing is, upon consideration, my conclusion is that I WOULD be any or all of these things for her if in exchange for my room and board and bills I broke even! There couldn't possibly be a more fair deal offered anywhere! Of course, I do some of the things mentioned whenever I can for her. Although in the actual case of a gardener, considering the fact that it was no exaggeration that I HAVE NO GREEN THUMB, I am sure that My Sweetheart is happy to do her own gardening, which she dearly loves. Whew!

RST/Cyrano.
