Sweet Somethings (Go To list)
Perhaps I have coined
a phrase... The old one was whispering "sweet nothings," and I suppose that
coming from the sources at hand, they may have been just that! When the use of
language has been reduced to the seduction of the unwary, it takes on little
value other than the tool of injustice and insincerety. However when whispering
in a woman's ear, nothing has ever been trivial. I have meant every word I have
ever spoken in this fashion, and that includes the murmurings of borderline
insanity from a man caught up blindly in love, willing to say just about
anything in a moment of rapture. These ravings I will not concede as untrue,
and I stand behind any and all of them as significant and meaningful.
In quiet moments, when all seems to disappear except two people in
love, things can take on a completely different nature. In these moments, there
will be times that lovers look into each other's eyes, and some recognition
exists, and one will say to the other, "I know Baby, me too!"
Yet at
other times, one cannot help but speak, and in those moments the meaningful
words are not sweet nothings, but "Sweet Somethings!"

(A sample from
"Sweet Somethings...)
My life is the music, you are the lyrics, and our love
is the melody that I sing everyday. |
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is as simple as that. It doesn't
take a long letter of perfect composition to impress someone. Your letter can
be of everyday things, paragraph after paragraph of mundane facts and issues.
For someone who loves you and cares, these things can be meaningful and
important. But as you wrap up your letter, it is nice to add a touch of flair
at the end. You can think of them too. Analogies are great, and that is what I
have used here. The concept of life being the music, your loved one being the
lyrics, and your love together is the song being sung by you each and every
day... It's playful, colorful, and so romantic! Think about it. Cinderella
singing, "Someday My Prince Will Come..." and Alladdin's "A Whole New World!"
There is something perfect about comparing a relationship to a song, especially
a love song. It's whimsical, cheerful, a cause for celebration! If that is how
you feel inside when you are thinking about your loved one, perhaps you might
send this line to someone special. You can do it from this site by clicking on
the category "Sweet Somethings" and finding the line above in the excerpts,
then clicking on the "GoCyrano!" link at the end of the excerpt, and add your
name and whatever else you would like to. Or, you can write your own! Whatever
you do, just send the message of love!
